ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

The Maple Grove Ambassador Program, not to be confused with a "pageant", was founded in 1999 by Michelene Radulovich. Now in our ninth year, we continue to make great strides in providing greater opportunities for young women in Maple Grove.

Each year, three outstanding women are chosen to represent Maple Grove as Ambassadors. They are selected by a panel of independent judges on poise, character, community involvement, and speaking ability. Serving as an Ambassador benefits not only the individual, but the local and surrounding communities, businesses, schools and residents.

These young women serve as good-will Ambassadors and represent Maple Grove at over 50 events, not only within Maple Grove, but in communities across Minnesota. In addition, they volunteer their time reading to children in local schools, visiting senior citizens, working closely with the City Council, attending new business grand openings, and participating in various other community events. Their service is extremely valuable to all.

Our Maple Grove Ambassador parade float titled 'Dare to Dream' has earned the recognition of several surrounding communities. Winning the Minneapolis Aquatennial's Presidents Award twice in at the Torchlight Parade, as well as numerous first place awards, we are proud of the creativity that has been placed on developing our float, which represents our city so well.

The impact of the Maple Grove Ambassador experience is evident long after their year of service. Former Maple Grove Ambassadors have gone on to become Ambassadors for the Minneapolis Aquatennial. Many others are traveling abroad, volunteering and building their professional careers close to Maple Grove.
