Saturday, February 10 marked the first ever Kids Day Minnesota event held at King of Grace Lutheran Church in Golden Valley. The event was designed to provide a safe and fun environment for 'kids to be kids' while spending time with local role models such as the Maple Grove Ambassadors. Ambassadors Korbin, Gillian and Stephanie joined many other volunteers to make this inaugural event a success through music, games, reading and crafts. The event was founded by former Maple Grove Ambassador Becky Ringen, also the reigning Miss Minnesota International. Ringen has visited schools, written a children?s book about domestic violence, created a scholarship fund for victims of domestic violence and founded Kids Kount, all emphasizing her reigning platform.
